FUKASHERE Department of Criminology Admission Requirement

This article is designed to help students who wish to study Criminology And Security Studies under the Faculty of Social & Management Sciences in The Federal University, Kashere  as it is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered in (FUKASHERE)  to  carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.

Federal University, Kashere is located in Gombe state and was established by the deferral government of Nigeria in 2011 to operate as a federal university. . The university has no religious affiliation and accepts students from different parts of the country.  Federal University, Kashere courses includes bachelors degree programs in Education, agriculture, science and socials sciences. The university has a slightly competitive admission process and provides students with various facilities like hostels, college buildings

O’LEVEL SUBJECT COMBINATION

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Criminology And Security Studies;

You require;Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two of Arts or Social Science subjects.

 

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVERS) REMARKS

(i) KASU requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and two other subjects.

(ii) WESTERN-DEL requires five (5) ‘O’ Level passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and one other Social Science subject.

(iii) FED-OYE EKITI accepts five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Government and anyone from(Economics, Commerce, Geography and one Science or Arts subjects at SSC.

(iv) UNILORIN requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Maths, Economics and any two (2) of Commerce, Geography and Government

(v) COAL-CITY requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any two (2) of Arts or Social Sciences subjects

(vi) LCITY requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two (2) subjects

JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION

In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Criminology And Security Studies under the Faculty of Social & Management Sciences in the above Universities include;

Economics, Mathematics and any of Government, History, Geography, Lit-in-English, French and CRK/IRK.

 

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVERS) REMARKS

(i) UNILORIN require Economics, Mathematics either Government or Geography or History

(ii) UNILORIN requires Economics, Mathematics, and any of the following Social Sciences subject: Geography, Commerce and Government.

(iii) WESTERN-DEL requires Economics, Mathematics and any of Government, History, Geography, Literature in English

(iv) AAUA requires Economics, Mathematics and any other Social Science subject and for Criminology and Security Studies requires three (3) Arts or Social Science subjects

(v) FED-KASHERE requires Economics, Mathematics and any of Government, History, Geography, Literature in English, French, CRS/IRS.

(vi) KASU requires Economics, Mathematics and one other subject

DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENT

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Criminology And Security Studies, if you don’t intend to use UTME.

You require;

Two ‘A’ level passes in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agric Science, Accounting, Business Management, History and Government.

 

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVERS) REMARKS

(i) UNIJOS does not require ‘O’ Level credit pass in History and does not accept ND, HND and NCE as entry requirements

(ii) AAUA does not accept Physics, Chemistry or Agricultural Science but accepts ND upper credit and HND lower credit level in relevant programmes.

(iii) CRAWFORD accepts; a. Statistics. b. NCE passes in Economics, Mathematics or any Social Science subject. c. ND/HND in relevant subjects not lower than lower credit.

(iv) WESTERN-DEL accepts two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Economics and one other subject.

(v) FED-OYE EKITI requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or Statistics

(vi) UNILORIN accepts

a) At least two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Geography, and Government.
b) UNILORIN Diploma in Money and Banking (Upper Credit) plus UTME requirements

(vii) FED-DUTSE requires;

a) Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Sociology, Economics and either Geography, Government or Civic Education.
b) IJMB with 9 points in the above subjects.
c) Diploma at Merit/Lower credit level in Crime Management, Law, Social Work, Social Policy and Administration and Community Development.

(viii) FED-KASHERE accepts Minimum of Lower Credit in ND or recognised Diploma or 9 Points in IJMB/NCE in related Social Science discipline.

(ix) FED-KASHERE accepts Two ‘A’ Level passes in Economics and any of History/Government, Science, Social Science and Management subjects or Credit passes at NCE or ND or IJMB with at least 9 points in relevant subjects.

(x) KASU accepts Two ‘A’ level passes chosen from Accounting, Economics, Business Administration and one other relevant subject. Foundation of professional examination such as ICAN, ICCA, ICMA and ANAN. ND/HND Lower Credit in relevant Discipline. NCE at merit level in Accounting, Business Administration and Economics/IJMB 7 points and above in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUKASHERE for the 2019/2020 session, should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have score a minimum of  180 and above in your JAMB result.
