SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:
(i) FUTA requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes at two (2) sittings, which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science.
(ii) OAU accepts Physics or Biology.
(iii) ABSU requires ‘O’ level credit pass in Physics.
(iv) EBSU, IMSU and COOU accept ‘O’ level pass in English Language.
(v) UMUDIKE same as in Food Science and Technology
(vi) EBSU accepts Agricultural Science in lieu of Biology and ‘O’ level pass in Physics.
(vii) NDU requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings.
(viii) CRUTECH- Same as Biological Science.
(ix) AJAYI requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes which must include English language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology at one (1) sitting or six (6) ‘O’ level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings.
(x) UNIMAID accepts ‘O’ level passes in English Language and Mathematics.
(xi) CUAB accepts ‘O’ level credit pass in Agricultural Science in lieu of Biology.
(xii) EBSU requires ’O’ level credit pass in Mathematics or Physics.
(xiii) BELLS require five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology/ Geography/ Further Mathematics/ Agricultural Science. (xiv) REDEEMER’S requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology/ Agricultural Sciences.
(xv) WESTERN-DEL requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes which must include Chemistry, English Language, Biology, Mathematics and Physics.
(xvi) PLASU – Same as in Chemistry.
(xvii) GOUU accepts ‘O’ level credit pass in any other Science subject in lieu of Physics.
(xviii) KWASU accepts ‘O’ level credit passes in Further Mathematics and Agricultural Science.
(xix) RENAISSANCE requires (5) five ‘O’ level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings.
(xx) BSU – Candidates seeking admission into any of these programmes must possess five (5)’O’ level credit passes from one (1) examination body (i.e. either WAEC or NECO) and obtained at not more than two (2) sittings. The department does not accept the combination of both WAEC and NECO. Students of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi Pre-degree Remedial Science Programme who pass their end of session examinations are considered for admission on the condition that they also pass the UTME. NOTE: Agricultural Science and Health Science shall not be accepted in place of Biology. Further Mathematics shall not be accepted in place of Physics or Mathematics.
(xxi) SAU accepts ‘O’ level credit passes in Technical Drawing, Agricultural Science or Geography in lieu of Physics
(xxii) UMYUK requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings.
(xxiii) SOUTHWESTERN – Same as Microbiology.
(xxiv) LANDMARK accepts in lieu of Physics ‘O’ level credit passes in any of the following subjects: Further Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Agricultural Science, Food and Nutrition.
(xxv) SOSU accepts HND lower credit or ND upper credit in Science Laboratory Technology, Food Science Technology or its equivalent.
(xxvi) ODUDUWA accepts ‘O’ level credit pass in Agricultural Science or Health Science in place of Biology.
(xxvii) FED-DUTSINMA accepts five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
(xxvii) UNIKINGS accepts five (5) credits at SSC in English Language, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Biology.
(xxviii) EUI requires five (5) credit passes at SSC or its equivalent in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology at not more than two (2) sittings.
(xxix) DELSU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credits and must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
(xxx) FED-GASHUA requires five (5) SSC credit passes in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics.
(xxxi) AAUA requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics
(xxxii) FED-DUTSE requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes at SSC level or its equivalent to include Englsih Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
(xxxiii) RSUST requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
(xxxiv) MOUNTAIN TOP requires five (5) credit passes at SSC or its equivalent to include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at not more than two (2) sittings.
(xxxv) FUTO requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology in not more than two (2) sittings.
(xxxvi) UNILORIN requires five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
(xxxvii) FED-WUKARI requires Candidates must obtain Five (5) Credits at not more than two sittings including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and any one from the following subjects; Physics/Agricultural Science/Health Science/Animal Husbandry obtained from Senior School Certificate(SSCE), National Examination Council(NECO), National Business and Technical Examination Board(NABTEB) or its equivalent. (xxxviii) CARITAS requires Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science.
(xxxix) MAUTECH requires Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology.
(xl) UNILAG requires Five O/Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

(xliii) UNIPORT requires Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology.
(xliv) FED-LAFIA requires Five (5) Credit passes at SSCE, GCE, NECO and NABTEB O’ Level examination in Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Physics in not more than two sittings.
(xlv) FED-KASHERE accepts Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
(xlvi) KASU accepts Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
(xlvii) LANDMARK accepts Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and one of the following Physics, Agricultural Science, Food and nutritio
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Biochemistry under the Faculty of Sciences in the above Universities include;

b) GCE ‘A’ Level or equivalent with passes in Mathematics and at least one of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science at minimum of grade C.
(ii) BINGHAM & UNILORIN require ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and Biology.
(iii) COOU accept ND credit in related programmes
(iv) MINNA, COOU and UDUSOK accept ND/HND lower credit plus four (4) ‘O’ Level credit passes in relevant subjects
(v) BABCOCK, KSU, UNIPORT, ABSU and IMSU No Direct Entry
(vi) UNIBEN does not accept Mathematics at ‘A’ level. In addition to UTME requirements accepts
(a) ND upper credit / HND lower credit in Food Technology or Science Laboratory Technology.
(B) NCE credit in Biology or Chemistry.
(vii) UMUDIKE requires ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and Biology/Botany/Zoology.
(viii) OOU accepts ND/HND in relevant programmes plus the UTME requirements.
(ix) EKSU – ND upper credit from recognised institution.
(x) BIU accepts ND and NCE in relevant programme/subjects.
(xi) AAU accepts first degree and five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in relevant subjects for Direct Entry.
(xii) UNN accepts ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry, Biology Botany or Zoology and Physics plus the UTME requirements and Degree in relevant programmes. (xiii) AJAYI accepts two (2) ‘A’ level passes or equivalents in Chemistry and Biology including the UTME requirements.
(xiv) EBSU requires three (3) ‘A’ level passes in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics or Physics.
(xv) Cresent accepts
(i) two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and any one (1) of Physics, Mathematics or Biology or
(ii) IJMB at acceptable grades. (iii) NCE, ND, HND lower credit may be admitted to the appropriate level.
(xvi) COOU accepts ND/HND lower credit in Food Science Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Biogenetic Engineering or its equivalent.
(xvii) FUTO requires two (2) ‘A’ level passes not below Grade C in Chemistry and Biology. It accepts ND/HND upper credit in relevant programmes. Candidates must in addition meet the UTME requirements. It does not accept First Degree and NCE.
(xviii) BOWEN accepts ‘A’ level/IJMB/NCE/ND or approved equivalent in Chemistry and either Mathematics or Physics.
(xix) BIU requires in addition to the UTME requirements specified, a minimum of two (2) ‘A’ level passes in relevant subjects or NCE 3 merits or ND credit in relevant programme.
(xx) WESLEYUNI accepts two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and any one (1) of Biology, Physics and Mathematics.
(xx) UNIOSUN also accepts ‘A’ level pass in Botany, ND lower credit and approved equivalents. (xxi) CRAWFORD accepts ND upper credit or HND in relevant programmes. ‘O’ level credit pass in either Physics or Mathematics in addition to ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and Biology is acceptable.
(xxii) EBSU accepts three (3) ‘A’ level passes in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics.
(xxiii) BELLS accepts (a) two (2) ‘A’ level passes chosen from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. (b) ND/HND in related programme plus the UTME requirements.
(xxiv) WESTERN-DEL accepts
(a) two (2) ‘A’ level passes obtained at one (1) sitting from Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Mathematics in addition to ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
(b) ND upper credit in relevant programmes, Food Chemistry, Brewing Science, Food Technology, Science Laboratory Technology in addition to the ‘O’ level requirements. HND lower credit in relevant programme. NCE credit in Biology or Chemistry.
(xxv) JABU requires Chemistry and any other one (1) from Biology, Physics and Mathematics.
(xxvi) RHEMA accepts ND in Chemistry, Food Science and Technology or NCE in Biology/Chemistry.
(xxvii) EVANGEL same as in Chemistry. (xxviii) KWASU accepts
a) two (2) . ‘A’ level passes or its equivalent, one (1) of which must be in relevant subject.
b) ND upper credit in relevant programme.
c) HND lower credit in the relevant programme.
(xxix) OSUSTECH accepts
a) two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry Biology or Physics.
b) ND distinction and credit in relevant programmes.
(xxx) BSU requires ‘A’ level passes in Biology, Chemistry and either Physics or Mathematics must be obtained. NCE, ND, and HND credit in Science/ Technology would be considered in addition to the UTME requirements.
(xxxi) FUNAAB accepts
a) ND upper credit in Analytical and Industrial Chemistry, Science Laboratory Technology or related programmes.
b) NCE credit in Biology or Chemistry.
c) two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry, Biology/Botany/ Zoology, Physics and Mathematics.
(xxxii) MCPHERSON accepts ND upper credit or HND lower credit in relevant programme. ‘O’ level credit pass in either Physics or Mathematics in addition to ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and Biology is acceptable.
(xxxiii) CALEB – Same as Microbiology and Industrial Biotechnology.
(xxxiv) UMYUK accepts candidates with ‘A’ level, IJMB, with a minimum of nine (9) points. ‘A’ level candidates must have Chemistry. NCE candidates must have Chemistry and Biology.
(xxxv) SOUTHWESTERN – Same as Microbiology.
(xxxvi) UNILAG accepts
(a) Very good passes in the following three (3) JUPEB/Alevel subjects Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
(b) Candidates must satisfy the UTME requirements.
(xxxvii) NTNU accepts any two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Science subjects. Also accepts ND/HND lower credit or NCE merit in relevant subjects/programmes.
(xxxviii) UNIKINGS requires two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and any one (1) of Physics, Mathematics or Biology.
(xxxix) FED-DUTSINMA requires two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and any one (1) of Biology, Physics or Mathematics. It also accepts ND/NCE with good grades and relevant ‘O’ level subjects.
(xl ) PLASU accepts
a) degree in any programmes provided the candidate meets the UTME requirements.
b) HND lower credit in relevant programme with the UTME requirements
c) ND lower credit in relevant programme with the UTME requirements.
d) IJMB minimum of seven (7) points with passes in relevant subjects, with the UTME requirements.
e) PLASU does not accept University diplomas and other diplomas not accredited by the relevant accrediting bodies.
(xli) UMYUK accepts a minimum of nine (9) points in IJMB/ ‘A’ level/NCE in Chemistry and Biology. Candidates with ND lower credit in Nutrition and Dietetics and Science Laboratory Technology from recognised institutions may also be admitted
(xlii) EUI accepts;
a) Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Chemistry, Physics/Mathematics and Biology/Botany/Zoology.
b) NCE/ND/HND with credit passes in related field plus UTME requirement.
c) A very good pass in JUPEB in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
d) IJMB passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and
(xlii) DELSU requires ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and Biology or (Zoology/Botany).
(xliii) FED-GASHUA accepts OND/ND Upper credit. HND Lower and NCE Merit and above, IJMB 6 Points and above will be admitted into 200 Level. It also accepts three (3) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.
(xliv) FED-DUTSE requires:
(a) two (2) ‘A’ Level passes, one in Chemistry, and the other from; Biology (Botany/Zoology), Physics or Mathematics.
(b) IJMB with minimum of ten (10) points in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics/Mathematics.
(c) National Diploma with Upper Credit in MLS, SLT, ND, FST, and other related courses.
(d) HND with at least Lower Credit; B.Sc. in related courses with at least Third Class.
(xlv) RSUST in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements accepts:
(a) HND (Lower Credit) in relevant discipline.
(b) OND/ND (Upper Credit) in relevant discipline.
(c) HSC/GCE ‘A’ Level passes in at least two (2) relevant subjects; One of which must be Chemistry.
(xlvi) FED-OYE EKITI requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Chemistry and any one of Physics, or Biology.
(xlvii) MOUNTAIN TOP requires at least five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes with a minimum of two (2) relevant subjects at GCE/IJMB ‘A’ Level or any approved equivalents in relevant Science subjects. Or Foundation/JUPEB obtained from Mountain Top University or other recognized Universities
(xlvii) UNILORIN accepts two (2) ‘A’ Level passes or equivalent in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. (xlix) FED-WUKARI – Direct Entry candidates must obtain two ‘A’ Level passes in Science subjects which must include Biology, Chemistry or any other relevant subjects at GCE A/ Level /IJMB/Advanced NABTEB or merit pass at NCE at least credit in OND/HND in relevant field. Candidate must also satisfy UTME admission requirements in Five (5) Credits of relevant subjects including English and Mathematics.
(l) MAUTECH accepts Two (2) A level passes or Equivalent chosen from Chemistry and Biology. ND/HND with Lower Credit in relevant Fields.
(li) FED-LOKOJA accepts In addition to UTME Entry Requirement; Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Chemistry and any one (1) of Biology, Physics or Mathematics. IJMB minimum of 7 points with passes in relevant subjects. NCE Credit pass in Chemistry and Biology. ND upper credit in Analytical and Industrial Chemistry, Science Laboratory Technology or related programmes from a recognised institution. HND lower credit in relevant programmes from Accredited Tertiary Institutions. Degree (Third Class) relevant to the programme.
(lii) UNIPORT accepts Two (2) A/level passes in JUPEB or IJMB or HSC or GCE in Biology and any one of Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics including UTME entry requirements
(liii) CARITAS accepts;
a) Bachelor’s Degree in one (1) of Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology and Zoology.
b) NCE/ND/HND Lower credit in one (1) of Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology and Zoology. c) Two (2) GCE A’Level/IJMB/JUPEB Passes chosen from Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
(liv) ABU accepts ‘A’ level /IJMB passes in Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics.
(lv) FED-LAFIA accepts In addition to UTME requirements, DE candidate must have any of the following: Two A’ level credit passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics; Minimum of 9 points in IJMB; Department does not accept NCE. ND: Lower credit in relevant disciplines/ HND.
(lvi) FED-KASHERE accepts In addition to the ‘O’ Level requirement, candidate must have 10 Points in IJMB in relevant subjects or ND with at least Lower Credit in relevant discipline.
(lvii) LANDMARK accepts Two (2) A level passes chosen from Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology. NCE/ND/HND in related programmes plus the UTME requirements.
(lviii) KASU accepts Two ‘A’ passes in Chemistry and Biology. ‘A’ Level Mathematics is not accepted in lieu of Biology. ND/HND/NCE in related field with a minimum of merit and Upper Credits in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements. IJMB minimum of 7 points and above.
(lix) FUTO requires;
a) At least two (2) ‘A’ Level passes not below Grade C in Chemistry and Biology.
b) ND/HND at Upper Credit level in life sciences.
c) First Degree in life sciences.
d) Very good passes in three JUPEB subjects namely Chemistry, Biology and Physics or Mathematics. It does not accept NCE. Candidates must in addition meet the ‘O’ Level requirements
(vi) FED-KASHERE accepts Two ‘A’ Level Passes (A-E) in any of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Geography. Upper Credit in ND/NCE in Physics or relevant discipline or 10 Points in IJMB in Mathematics and Physics and any other one from Chemistry, Biology and Geography
All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUKASHERE for the 2019/2020 session, should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have score a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
