Federal University, Kashere is located in Gombe state and was established by the deferral government of Nigeria in 2011 to operate as a federal university. . The university has no religious affiliation and accepts students from different parts of the country. O’LEVEL SUBJECT COMBINATION
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Agricultural Science and Education;
You require;Five (5) ‘O’ Level credits or equivalent in English Language, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science., Mathematics and another relevant subject.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
1. EKSU and UNICAL accept a pass in Chemistry.
2. RSUST accepts five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other two (2) subjects from Technical Drawing, Biology/ Agric Science.
3. FUAM requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Agricultural Science and either Biology or Physics.
4.IMSU accepts D7 in English Language and ‘O’ Level credit pass in Chemistry.
5. DELSU accepts SSC ‘O’ Level or its equivalent credit passes in at least five (5) subjects, which must include Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Language.
7. UNIBEN require five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science.
8. FUAM and UNIMAID require five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science.
9. TASUED requires Five ‘O’ level credits at one sitting or six ‘O’ level credits at two sittings to include English Language, Biology/ Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Mathematics and any one /two of Geography/Physics, Physics and Economics.
10. UNN requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Agricultural Science or Biology plus ‘O’ Level pass in Chemistry in addition to UNN requirements.
11. UNIUYO requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credits or equivalent, including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and any two (2) of Biology, Agricultural Science, Economics, Physics and Geography.
12. ABSU requires Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Agricultural Science, Biology and any other subject.
13. NDU requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural and any two Science subjects in not more than two sittings.
14. IAUE requires five (5) Credit passes in WASC/NECO/ GCE in English Language, Mathematics, and any three of Agricultural Science/Biology Chemistry, Physics, Animal husbandry, Fisheries, Economics.
15. ATBU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Arithmetic, Biology, Agricultural Science, Chemistry or General Science and any two (2) subjects. It accepts credit pass in Arithmetic, or General Science or Technical Trades in lieu of Mathematics, or Biology or Physics respectively.
16. BUK requires five (5) SSCE credit passes to include; English language, Mathematics, Biology/Agriculture and Chemistry.
17. UNILORIN accepts Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics Agricultural science/Biology, Chemistry and Physics or other science related subjects.
18. ABU requires Five ‘O’ level Credit Passes including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology or Agric. Science, Integrated Science/General Science, Geography.
19.FUK requires Five credit passes at SSCE in English, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry and Physics.
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Agricultural Science and Education under the Faculty of Education in the above Universities include;
Any three subjects from Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, Physics, Economics, Geography and Mathematics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) DELSU requires Chemistry, Agricultural Science or Biology and any one of Physics, Economics.
(ii) RSUST requires Mathematics and any other two (2) subjects from Chemistry, Physics, Technical Drawings and Geography.
(iii) ATBU requires Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science and any other subject.
(iv) FUAM requires Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
(v) UNIBEN requires Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture Science and any other Science subject.
(vi) UNN requires Agricultural Science /Biology, Chemistry and any of Economics, Geography, Government; any trade between Animal Husbandry and Fishery.
(vii) ABU requires Use of English, Chemistry, Biology/ Agric. Science and any other Science Subject.
(viii) IAUE requires English language, Chemistry and two of Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Animal husbandry, Fisheries, Economics, Geography, Book Keeping
(ix) UNIMAID requires any three (3) subjects from Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Physics, Economics, Geography and Mathematics.
(x) BUK requires Biology/Agriculture, Chemistry and any Science subject
(xi) UNILORIN requires Biology, Chemistry and any of Physics/ Mathematics or Geography/ Economics.
(xii) FUK requires Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and any one of Physics, Mathematics, Geography or Economics.
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Agricultural Science and Education, if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
1. Two passes at ‘A’ level in Biology /Zoology /Botany and any other Science subject.
2. NCE at merit pass level in Biology and any other Science subject.
3. NCE merit pass level in Agriculture (Double Major).
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
1. DELSU accepts NCE merit pass in Agricultural Science, ‘A’ Level passes in two (2) of the following Agricultural Science/Biology and Chemistry or OND Agricultural Science.
2. UNIBEN requires two (2) or three (3) merit in NCE to include Agricultural Science plus 3 ‘O’ level passes in English Language, Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science.
3. RSUST accept NCE (Agricultural Science) with at least credit passes or HND in Agriculture.
4. UNIMAID accept NCE with UTME requirements.
5. AAU accepts Chemistry, Biology or Agriculture at ‘A’ Level and ND upper credit in Agricultural Science and HND Agriculture not below credit pass. Also accepts ND/NCE credit in Agricultural Science with at least a pass in Physics at the ‘O’ Level.
6. RSUST in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements accepts:
(a) HND (Lower Credit) in related professions/discipline.
(b) OND, ND/ACE (Upper Credit) in related professions/discipline.
(c) NCE Technical Education programme with a minimum of Pass.
(d) Two (2) GCE ‘A’ Level /HSC passes credit from Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Technical Drawing.
(e) Full Technological Certificates of C&G London Institute or Part three Technician’s Certificate with NationalTechnical Teachers Certificate (NTTCF), UCTE from RSUST can be substituted for NTTC.
7. IAUE accepts ‘A’ level pass in Geography/Physics in Agric with 4 O’ level credit passes in relevant subjects.
8. EKSU accepts a pass in NCE General
English as equivalent to ‘O’ level credit pass in English Language.
9. UNIMAID requires A’ level pass in Chemistry, Physics Biology and Agricultural Science plus O’ level requirements.
10. ATBU accepts:
(a) NCE (pass with 5 years teaching experience.
(b) N.D at merit pass/lower credit in Biology/Agricultural Science and any other Science subject.
(c) Two ‘A’ Level passes in Biology /Zoology/Botany/Agricultural Science and any other Science subject.
11. TASUED accepts two ‘A’ level passes/NCE Merit in Chemistry and one from Biology/ Botany/ Agric. Science, Economics, Physics, Geography and Geology /Mathematics (Pure and Applied) ND/HND with upper credit in Agriculture or Animal Health from recognized Polytechnic or College of Agriculture.
12. UNICAL accepts:
a. NCE in Agricultural Education or Biology (merit).
b. HND an any field of Agriculture with at least pass,
c. ND in any field of Agriculture (credit).
d. A’ level credit passes in Agricultural Science and any two Science subjects including Chemistry.
e. NCE in Agricultural Education or Biology (pass) with at least O’ level pass in Chemistry.
f. NCE in Agricultural Education or Biology (pass) Candidates in category (i) and (ii) must fulfil the three O’ level credit pass requirement including minimum pass in Chemistry.
13. IAUE: Applicants who hold the NCE with a merit level and above from the Ignatius Ajuru University of education or any other recognized institution will be admitted for the BA.Ed. programme in addition to completing the JAMB (Direct Entry) requirements.
14. NDU accepts:
Direct Entry Applicants into 300 Level in a 4-year Degree Programme
a.NCE credit or higher in two (2) major subjects in relevant areas.
b.HND Certificate with passes at credit level or higher in a relevant programme.
c.For B.Ed Technology programme Holders of NCE and HND credit or higher in the relevant programme.
Direct Entry Applicants into 200 Level in a 4-year Degree Programme
a.Two(2) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant subjects.
b.ND credit or upper credit in a relevant programme.
c.NCE merit in two (2) relevant subjects.
d.For B.Ed Technology programme, holders of NCE, City and Guilds, NBC/NTC merit in relevant subjects.
15. UNIUYO requires;
a)NCE in relevant subject(s) with an overall merit pass or above.
b)Advanced level GCE or Advanced level NABTEB or JUPEB passes in two (2) relevant subjects.
c)National Diploma (minimum of lower credit level) in any area related to Agricultural Education.
16. BUK requires;
a)A pass at credit level in a relevant Diploma Programme.
b)Passes in three major subjects in relevant areas in the NCE.
c)Two passes at the IJMB or Cambridge Moderated Schools of Basic Studies Terminal Examinations or International Baccalaureate from a recognized institution.
17. UNILORIN accepts;
a)At least two (2) ‘A’ Level Credit passes in Agric. Science, and any other related science subjects (Biology, Chemistry Physics or Geography). (Minimum of 6 points in IJMB or JUPEP is also acceptable)
b)NCE (Distinction/ Merit passes) in Education, Agricultural. Plus credit passes in English Language, Agric. Science Mathematics, Chemistry and any other relevant subjects.
18. ABU accepts NCE with Minimum of ‘C’ grade in Agric. Science. ND in Agric. With Lower Credit/Merit. Two ‘A’ Level/IJMB Passes in Agricultural Science and any of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Geography.
19. FUK accepts At least two A’ Level credit passes in Chemistry and one of Biology/Botany/ Zoology/Agric. Science, Physics, Geography, Mathematics, Geology, Economics and Health Science
All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUKASHERE for the 2019/2020 session, should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have score a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
