Federal University Dutse (FUD) has received full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for Medicine and Surgery and 18 other academic programs in the College of Medicine and five Faculties of the University
The authorization was contained in a letter dated April 14, 2022 addressed to the Vice-Chancellor and signed by the Executive Secretary, NUC, through the Director of Accreditation Commission, stating that full accreditation is valid for the next five years.
The accreditation follows the evaluation and validation of staff resources and available training resources for highly skilled students in their fields.
The full programs approved by the NUC are

- Banking and Finance

- Taxes
- Languages (Arabic)

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdulkarim Saho Mohammed, who thanked the staff and students of the university for this great achievement, said the university would continue to improve the quality of its programs.
He said the accreditation of the medical program was not a small achievement for the university, adding that it was a call for staff and students to redouble their efforts to ensure that the university’s MBBS program was among the best in the country.
VC thanked the Academic Planning Directorate for working around the clock to make the accreditation work a great success.
