Coal City University is delighted to announce its 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Combined Convocation Ceremony.

Kick-Off With the Vice-Chancellor’s Press Conference

The week begins with insights from the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Afam Icha Ituma, who will outline the university’s achievements and what to expect during the convocation events.

Sports and Camaraderie

• Event: Novelty Football Match

• Venue: University’s Football Field

Engage in the spirit of sportsmanship and unity at the novelty football match, a traditional part of our convocation week that brings together staff, students, and alumni.

Intellectual Engagements and Celebrations

• Event: Convocation Lecture And Dinner
• Date: Friday, 1st December 2023
• Time: 5:00 pm
• Venue: University Auditorium

An evening of intellectual discourse followed by a dinner that provides an opportunity for graduates to network and celebrate their success.

The Convocation Day

• Date: Saturday, 2nd December 2023
• Time: 11:00 am

This is the pinnacle of the convocation events where degrees and honorary degrees are conferred. It’s a day of pride and joy as graduates are recognized for their hard work and dedication.

Thanksgiving Service

• Date: Sunday, 3rd December 2023
• Time: 10:00 am
• Venue: University Auditorium

The week concludes with an interdenominational thanksgiving service, reflecting on the blessings and achievements of the past academic year.
