Caleb University Gets NUC Accreditation
This achievement showcases the university’s constancy in providing top-quality education and meeting academic standards.
The Accreditation Process
The National Universities Commission accreditation was a result of an accreditation visit conducted in November and December 2023, as said in a statement released by the university.
Arc. S.S. Ikani signed the letter, Programme Accreditation Deputy Director confirmed the renewal of full accreditation for the university’s programs.
The Accredited Programmes
The full accreditation renewed by the NUC screen the following degree programs.
- Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
- Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
- Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry
- Moreover, full accreditation was received by the Psychology program
Emphasis on Timely Doctorate Degree Completion
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nosa Owens-Ibie stressed the necessity of postgraduate students working towards accomplishing their doctorate degree programs within three years.
He also encouraged departments to graduate Post graduate degree students within the same period of time to ensure productivity in their academic pursuits.
Global Academic Benchmark Evaluation
During a Postgraduate degree post-field presentation by three(3) persons from the Department of Architecture.
The Professor of Architecture, Prof. Adedeji Daramola, and the Academic Deputy Vice-Chancellor, together with a team of foreign assessors in the UK, examine the presentations using global academic benchmarks and criteria.
This collaborative effort is to enhance the quality of Postgraduate degree work at Caleb University, together with its global standards.
