Edo State Governor Obaseki Offers Automatic Employment to First Class Graduates of Edo Origin

Mr. Godwin Obaseki, the Edo State Governor, has decided to offer all Edo origin with first class from all Nigerian universities automatic employment into the public and state’s civil service.

The goal of this initiative is to achieve the governor’s vision of making Edo the best place to work and live by 2050 by equipping the state with top-tier talents in public and civil service.

Automatic Employment for First-Class Graduates

Anthony Okungbowa Esq., the Edo State Head of Service, praised this forward-thinking gesture and conveyed the governor’s approval.

He described its alignment with the long-term vision for the state and its pace-setting and worthy move.

During the 3rd convocation ceremony, the initiative was initially extended to Uzairue, the Best Graduating Student of Edo State University.

Later, it was concluded to include graduates from Ambrose Ali University Ekpoma and the University of Benin.

15 First Class Graduates and Best Graduating Students

Okungbowa stated that the name of the best-graduating student and 15 First Class graduates from the said university for further action had been sent to the Civil Service Commission.

Vice Chancellors of Nigerian universities are advised to submit particulars and names of First Class students who are indigenous to Edo to the Edo State Government.
