This is to inform you that Alvernia University Students Scholarships 2022/2023 is a partly-funded scholarship for all students.

Alvernia University is now accepting applications from suitably qualified students for this scholarship.

Origin of Alvernia University 

In 1958, the Bernardine Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis established Alvernia University, initially as a four-year liberal arts institution for sisters.

Important Things to Know About Alvernia University Scholarships

Courses available: ALL courses are available to study under this scholarship.

Degree Levels: Alvernia University Undergraduate International Students Scholarships are available to undertake Undergraduate level programs at Alvernia University.

Scholarship Benefits: Alvernia University will award $15,000 per year to students in the USA.

Eligibility Criteria:

These merit scholarships can be renewed for four years (up to eight semesters) and are worth the same amount each time. 

Scholarships cannot be paired with any other award, including government scholarships. Thus, an applicant already receiving another financial reward cannot apply for an Alvernia International Scholarship.

Eligible Nationalities:

ALL nationalities are eligible for this scholarship, with no restrictions.

Below are additional requirements:

• Be a full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate student attending mostly daytime classes.
•  Have earned a minimum 3.0 overall cumulative GPA by the May 1 scholarship application deadline.
•  Meet English proficiency and financial specifications.

Application Procedure

Submit each of the following documents to Alvernia’s International Admissions by the May 1 application deadline:

• International Scholarship application. Email international.admissions@alvernia.edu for the application once you have been admitted to Alvernia University.
• Proposed research statement This should be a separate document in which the student candidate explains why Alvernia University should award them a scholarship and how their academic and personal aspirations would benefit our campus community in 300 words or fewer.
• Unofficial Grade Report: The student must submit all grades from all previous schools attended.

Application Deadline: The deadline for the scholarship is May 1st 2023.
