O’LEVEL SUBJECT COMBINATION
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Computer Science And Mathematics;
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Education and Biology;
Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and one (1) other subject.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) AAUA, ALVAN and UNN accept ‘O’ Level pass in Mathematics or its equivalent.
(ii) OOU accept a pass in English Language.
(iii) DELSU accepts SSC ‘O’ Level with credit passes in at least five (5) subjects which must include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry or Geography and Biology.
(iv) EBSU accepts five (5) SSC credit passes to include Mathematics, English Language and three (3) other science subjects.
(v) ALVAN accepts D7 in English Language or Mathematics.
(vi) IMSU requires Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics.
(vii) ABU accepts (a)TC II and requires two (2) other relevant Science subjects.(b)Five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and one (1) other subject from Physics or Geography.
(viii) UNIUYO requires at least five (5) ‘O’ Level Credits, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics .
(ix) UMYU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes which must include Mathematics, English Language, Biology and any other two (2) Science subjects.
(x) BU does not accept Agricultural Science as another Science subject.
(xi) TASUED requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes at one sitting or six (6) ‘O’ Level credit passes at two (2) sittings to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and either Physics or Geography.
(xii) OAU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes which must include English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and one (1) other subject.
(xiii) UNIOSUN requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology to form the core subjects, with credit passes in two (2) other relevant Science subjects at not more than two (2) sittings.
(xiv) AAUA require five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Biology, Mathematics, and any two (2) of Physics, Chemistry and Agricultural Science.
(xv) UNILAG accepts Five O/Level credit passes in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and any one of Physics, Agricultural Science, Health Science.
(xvi) FUDMA Same as in Bsc BIOLOGY
(xvii) LCU accepts ‘O’ Level credit passes at SSC or its equivalent in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other subject.
(xviii) UNILORIN requires Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and any other science subject.
(xix) MAUTECH accepts five (5) O’level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology and any two from Chemistry, physics, Agric. Science, Further Maths, physics Education, Health education, geography, Food & Nutrition, Civic Education.
(xx) ABU requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes in Biology, Mathematics, English language and Chemistry and any other from physics or Geography.TC II credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science and any other two subjects.
(xxi) UNIPORT requires Five (5) O Level credits passes in English Language, Biology, Physics or Chemistry and any other two (2) subjects from Mathematics, Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics.
(xxii) FUK requires Five credit passes in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and any of Geography or Physics
(xxiii) YABATECH requires Five (5) O’Level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology and any other two Science Subjects.
(xxiv) SSU requires Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Biology and any other two science subjects at not more than two sittings.
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Education and Biology under the Faculty of Education in the above Universities include;
Biology and two (2) other subjects from Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i)OOU requires Mathematics and one (1) other subject.
(ii) FCEASABA and UNIBEN accept Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics.
(iii) EKSU accepts Agricultural Science/Biology.
(iv) IAUE requires Chemistry as one (1) of other two (2) subjects.
(v) DELSU requires Biology, Chemistry and one other Arts/Social Science/Science subject
(vi) FUAM requires Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry.
(vii)TASUED requires Biology, Chemistry, and either Physics or Geography.
(viii) FUDMA Same as in Bsc BIOLOGY .
(ix) UNILAG requires English Language, Biology and any two of Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Integrated Science.
(x) UNIMAID requires Biology and any two (2) Science Subjects.
(xi) UMYU requires Biology and any other two (2) Science subjects.
(xii) UNILORIN requires Biology, Chemistry, and any of Mathematics, Physics, Geography or Agricultural Science.
(xiii) UNIPORT requires Biology and any other two (2) subjects from Mathematics, Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
(xiv) ABU accepts Use of English, Biology and any other 2 science subjects.
(xv) FUK requires Biology and any two from Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.
(xvi) YABATECH requires English Language, Biology and any two (2)subjects from: Chemistry, Physics,Mathematics and Health Science
(xvii) SSU requires Biology and two (2) other subjects from Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Education and Biology, if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
NCE/’A’ Level passes in Biology and one (1) other Science subject.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
(i) UDUSOK require ‘O’ Level pass in Physics or Mathematics.
(ii) UDUSOK, and ALVAN require ‘A’ Level passes in either Physics or Mathematics.
(iii) BSU, IMSU, ABSU and UNIABUJA require NCE not below merit.
(iv) UNICAL accepts NCE credit or merit in Biology and one (1) other science subject
(v) RSUST and FUTMINNA accept ND/HND lower credit and NCE merit in addition to four (4) relevant UTME subjects.
(vi) UNILAG accepts NCE with credit/merit in Biology and any Science subject. Very good passes in the following JUPEB subjects: Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
(vii) UNIJOS accepts NCE General English in lieu of ‘O’ Level English Language and Geography/Physics as a Science subject.
(viii) ADSU requires NCE/HND merit/credit in relevant subjects/programmes.
(ix) EKSU accepts a pass in NCE General English in lieu of ‘O’ Level credit in English Language.
(x) FCEKANO does not accept Integrated Science, General Science, Health Science or Agricultural Science In lieu of Biology. Admission is by Direct Entry only.
(xi) UNIBEN requires ‘A’ Level passes with two (2) or three (3) NCE merit to include Biology plus three (3) or two (2) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language at one (1) sitting.
(xii) DELSU requires;a)At least merit passes and above in Biology at NCE or above and in either Chemistry or Geography.b)Merit in DELSU Diploma in Biology Education
(xiii) BAUCHIPOLY accepts NCE pass with five (5) years teaching experience.
(xiv) FCEZARIA – requires three (3)’A’ Level passes to include Biology. It also accepts NCE in Biology and one other Science subject with ‘C’ grade including Education. Admission is by Direct Entry only.
(xv) NSUK accepts ND in Science Education from ABU and any other recognised institution.
(xvi) UMYU accepts candidates with a minimum of 9 points in IJMB/HSC/GCE ‘A’ Level/NCE in Biology and any other relevant subject. Candidates with a minimum of lower credit pass in Diploma in Biology Education from recognized institutions may also be admitted.
(xvii) BU accepts ‘A’ Level, IJMB/NCE/ND or its equivalent in Biology, Botany and Chemistry.
(xviii) UNIOSUN accepts NCE credit.
(xix) ABU accepts NCE with ‘C’ grade in Education and Biology. IJMB or ‘A’ level passes with ‘C’ grade in Biology and ‘D’ in one other Science subjects from Chemistry, Physics, Integrated Science or Geography. ABU Diploma in Biology Education with a minimum of merit pass.
(xx) OAU accepts two (2) ‘A’ Level passes or NCE credit/merit in Biology, Botany or Zoology and one (1) other Science or professional subject, ‘A’ Level pass or NCE credit/merit in Agricultural Science double major or combined with any teaching/professional subject
(xxi) IAUE requires ‘A’ Level passes in Biology/Botany or Zoology and Chemistry or Physics. It accepts NCE OR ND credits
(xxii) FUAM accepts ND upper credit in relevant programmes in addition to the UTME requirements.
(xxiii) FCEKANO – Accepts not less than eight (8) points in NCE.
(xxiv) TASUED requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes/NCE Science subjects to include Biology.ND/HND upper credit in the following specialization:a) Science Laboratory Technology-option in Biology, Chemistry AND Microbiology.b)Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry c) Food Technology
(xxv) AAUA requires three (3) NCE merit in Education, Biology and one (1) relevant teaching Science subject.
(xxvi) FUDMA Same as in Bsc BIOLOGY
(xxvii) EBSU accepts:a)two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Computer, Mathematics or Integrated Science.b)HND and NCE/OND with minimum of Merit and Upper credit respectively.
(xxviii) UNIUYO requires;a)NCE in relevant subject(s) with an overall merit pass or above, for a three-year degree programme.b)Advanced level GCE or JUPEB in two (2) relevant subjects.c)National Diploma in Educational Technology (DET) (minimum of lower credit level) in any area related to Biology Education.
(xxix) MAUTECH accepts NCE At Credit Passe in Biology or any relevant Field. IJMB/’A’ level Credits Passes in Biology and one relevant Science subject.
(xxx) UNIPORT accepts Two (2) A/level GCE or HSC or JUPEB or IJMB passes in the relevant subjects including UTME entry requirements. NCE with Credit passes in the relevant subjects including UTME entry requirements.
(xxxi) FUK requires At least two A’ Level credit passes in Botany, Zoology and Chemistry or Physics. Credit passes in NCE, ND and IJMB in Biology, Chemistry and Physics
(xxxii)YABATECH accepts NCE/A Level passes in Biology and one (1) other Science subject.
(xxxiii) SSU accepts Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) or Diploma in Science Education with a minimum of merit.
(xxxiv) UNILORIN accepts;a)At least two (2) ‘A’ Level Credit pass in Biology and any other science related subjects (i.e. Chemistry, Physics or Integrated science, computer science). (Minimum of 6 points in IJMB or JUPEB is also acceptable).b)NCE (Distinction/ Merit passes) in Education, Biology and Chemistry or Integrated science: Plus five “O” Level credit passes ( English Language, Biology, Chemistry Mathematics and any other relevant science subjects).
All candidates interested in getting admitted into ADSU for the 2019/2020 session, should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have score a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
