ADSU Department of Agronomy Admission Requirement

This article is designed to help students who wish to study Agronomy under the Faculty of Agriculture at Adamawa State University (ADSU).

It is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered in ADSU to carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.

Adamawa State University is located in Mubi, Adamawa State, Nigeria.

It was established in 2002 by the Adamawa State University Law No. 10 of 2001. The title caption of the university is “Towards ensuring rapid development and transformation of the State.

Admission Requirements for Agronomy

WAEC/NECO Subject Combination

The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Agronomy are Five (5) SSCE credits in Chemistry, English Language, Mathematics, Biology, and Geography or Economics.

JAMB Subject Combination

In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.

Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Agronomy under the Faculty of Agriculture at ADSU include;

Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture, and Mathematics or Physics.

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Agronomy if you don’t intend to use UTME.

You require;

Two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes, including Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, and Physics/Mathematics/Economics.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into ADSU for the 2022/2023 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.

Conclusion

The university has a very competitive admissions process and does not consider a student’s age, cultural background, or religion when deciding whether to admit them. Thus, a diverse student body is made possible.
