The UTD Scholarships were established to fund undergraduates or graduate students’ education. Also, they’re for those who demonstrate financial need. However, the recipient must be enrolled at UT Dallas at the time of the award.

Also, these scholarships do not alter the residence status of the recipient. And this is in so far as tuition charges are concerned. Furthermore, the scholarships will be awarded by a committee duly appointed by the President of UT Dallas.

1. Global Engagement Scholarship

This is one of the UTD scholarships. And it supports undergraduate students in the School of Economics. Also, it supports those is Political and Policy Sciences (EPPS). This is at UT Dallas as they study abroad. However, to be eligible, note. The applicants must be U.S. citizens.

Or, they must be U.S. permanent residents. And they must be full-time undergraduate students in EPPS. However, this is with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Also, the applicants must demonstrate financial need.

2. Government and Political Science Scholarship

Also, they must have a minimum GPA of 2.8. Furthermore, the amount of the award is $1,000.

3. Jeanne Glorioso Scholarship

Also, this is one of the UTD scholarships. The Jeanne Glorioso Scholarship was established in 2015. And it aims to support full-time undergraduate students in EPPS.

However, the applicants must demonstrate financial need. Additionally, among equally qualified applicants, there is a preference for those who have overcome economic barriers. This is in pursuit of their degree. Also, it is for those who are single parents or guardians.

4. McLovin Scholarship

Also, this is one of the UTD scholarships. And it supports undergraduate students in the School of Economics. Also, it supports those in Political and Policy Sciences (EPPS) at UT Dallas.

However, to be eligible, note. The applicants must be U.S. citizens. Or the applicants must be U.S. permanent residents. Again, or he/she must be international students. Also, the applicants must have at least a 2.994 cumulative GPA.

5. Charles C. McKinney Scholarship

Also, this is one of the UTD scholarships. The Charles C. McKinney Endowed Scholarship was established in 2005. And it was established by Mr. McKinney. Mr. McKinney received his Master’s degree from the School of Management in 1991.

Also, the scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in economics. However, this is with an emphasis on the study of free markets and economic growth.

6. Fred Hill Endowed Scholarship

Also, this is one of the UTD scholarships. The Fred Hill Endowed Scholarship for Public Service was established in 2009. And it was to honor Fred Hill. He was a Texas Legislator from 1988 to 2008.

Donors to the Hill Scholarship included UT Dallas administrators, local business leaders, and companies. A student award is made annually. Also, the scholarship supports an undergraduate or graduate student majoring in political science. And it supports those in public affairs.

7. GXA Cares Scholarship

Also, this is one of the UTD scholarships. The GXA Cares Scholarship/Fellowship was established in 2018 by GXA. GXA is a local IT solutions company. And it is based in Richardson. Also, it is co-founded by a UT Dallas alumni.

GXA is committed to serving the next generation. And this is by investing their profits and resources into good works. This works to create, support, and sustain a better community and a brighter future.

8. Irving J. Hoch Scholarship

Also, this is one of the UTD scholarships. The Irving J. Hoch Scholarship was established in 2005. This was to honor one of UT Dallas’ most distinguished and beloved professors, Dr. Irving J Hoch.

Dr. Hoch is known as the “Father of Fixed-effect Modeling.” Also, at UT Dallas, he was a winner of the Polycarp Kusch Award. Also, he won the Chancellor’s Council Outstanding Teacher Award. And he won the Students’ Choice Outstanding Teacher.

9. John Forrest Kain Scholarship

Also, this is one of the UTD scholarships. The John Forrest Kain Endowed Scholarship was established in 2005. And it was in memory of Dr. John Kain. And it is funded by gifts from Dr. Kain’s family. Also, it is funded by a gift from his faculty colleagues.

Additionally, it is funded by his former students and friends. Dr. Kain held the Cecil Green Chair for Science in Society. And he served the director of the Green Center and the Texas School Project at the time of his death.

10. Officer Bernard F. Parson Scholarship

Also, this is one of the UTD scholarships. The Officer Bernard F. Parson Scholarship was established in memory of Officer Parson. He was on the UT Dallas police department from February 1, 2001.

Officer Parson believed that young people furthered themselves and society through education. His dedication to his family, his community, and UT Dallas will be perpetually honored through this endowment.
