The Federal University, Otuoke is a federal government-owned University located in Otuoke, a town in Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa State, Southern Nigeria.The University was established in 2011 and started with 282 pioneer students. It offers degree courses at undergraduate levels. The University offers undergraduate programs in the faculty of Science, Management Science, Social Science and Humanities, Education, Engineering and Technology.
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Economics and Development Studies;
Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and at least two (2) other relevant subjects from Commerce, Government and Accounting .
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Economics and Development Studies under the Faculty of Arts & Humanities in the above Universities include;
Economics, Mathematics and any of Government, History, Geography, Literature in English, French and CRS/IRS
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Economics and Development Studies, if you don’t intend to use UTME.
ND/NCE with upper/merit credit in the relevant programme in addition to five (5) credit passes at SSC at not more than two (2) sittings
