This is to inform the general public that the management of the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) has concord to the mandate issued by the senate house of Nigeria to extend the validity of her. i.e, From the next session of Jamb, the result will be valid for the period of three (3) years.
The Nigerian Senate today passed the amendment to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s Act into law.
In the amendment, the the Senate strengthened the Board to allow the results of students in the annual examination be valid for more than one year.
This implies that JAMB result is expected to now be valid for more than a year.
According to the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Tertiary Education and TETFund, Senator Jibrin Barau the amendments will further strengthen the Admissions Board in its responsibilities.
Senate President Bukola Saraki, appreciated his distinguished colleagues for their work towards the passage of the bill commended that the new amendments will indeed bring financial relief to students as well as parents and reduce bottlenecks and corruption in the admission process.
