I’m sure we are all aware of the story of a little boy that was neglected, rejected and abandoned somewhere in Uyo due to the fact that he was tagged a witch.
This little boy was left all alone and he was just wandering about the village with no food, water, clothes and shelter. The little boy feeds from what he picks from the ground and no one was willing to help him because according to them, it’s an abominable act.
Everyone watched the 2 years old boy to surfer and die in penury. Until one faithful day, a Danish lady came to his aid and saved his life.
The savoir of the 2 year old boy was Anja Ringgren, she took him in and gave him the very best. And according to Anja Ringgren
”The day I carried this sweet little boy in my arms for the very first time I was so sure he would not survive. Every breath he took was a struggle and I did not want him to die without a name, without dignity, so I named him Hope.
Hope is a miracle baby, because he was a living dead when Anja Ringgren came to his rescue and no one thought he would survive it, but he did survived.
A police officer in Norway named, Bjorn Druglimo heard about this touching story and was moved. He decided to do a soccer shirts for HOPE, and other kids and staff in the orphanage home.
I want to use this medium to plead with each and everyone of us, to be like this Danish lady, Anja Ringgren and live with the definition she gave to HOPE which stands for Help One Person Everyday. It will really go a long way because everyone needs help.
