Puma does not come first when it comes to the sneakers industry and market. Puma can’t stand or compete with Adidas or Nike when it comes to sneakers sales in America, Africa and the world.
Puma just made Rihanna a creative director for its women line late last year. It has been reported that Puma sales was very high and they beat their average fourth quarter projects by making a huge sum of $34.5 million.
Rihanna has proved that she can make the brand ‘Puma’ sales go even higher than this in the future and Puma’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) agrees to that because he has seen improvements in the Puma’s women sneakers 5line since he made Rihanna a creative director.
German’s Company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO)- Bjorn Gulden statement at a press conference:
“She can sell sneakers and Puma is onto something here which we haven’t seen yet in the women’s area,”.
Different brands are showing are now showing interests in using celebrities that are not athletes. It started with Nike’s using Kanye West and they made much sales before Kanye moved to Adidas last year.
And it’s been recorded that Adidas made huge sales in their partnership with Kanye’s brand (Yezzy’s Sneakers).
After the feuds between Kanye West and Nike, Nike made Kelvin Hart their brand ambassador. So it’s very clear that Puma made the right move by making Rihanna their creative director in the women’s line.
Rihanna’s partnership with Puma, has paved way for Kyle Jenner because Puma has just striked a deal with her (Kyle Jenner).
